Before those of the Tetrad saw fit to create the Living Universe, they themselves were birthed of flesh in the dead womb of the Mother God.
The Father God, high blooded king of Selousel, that place before the Four Gods of the Tetrad, saw that the Mother God harmonised with the words of his heart. And it was that they did dance and have merriment on those cliffs of Tarrephus. And with his heart taken by the perfection of all beauty that is the Mother God, the Father God saw fit to leave his throne of Selousel and give himself fully to his love.
And so a plague did fall upon that kingdom with no king.
The Mother God, as one not of noble birth, did age, and with age did that plague fall upon her. And so did she die.
And the Father God, king, did take her to those cliffs of Tarrephus upon which they had had marriment and did bury her there. But it was that she was with child. And that seed of the Father placed in her body was a spell woven of Godly magics. And so it was that those Four Gods, those of the Tetrad, did form in her death.1
Those Gods were named unto themselves not of words that mortal beings do know, but in our lesser tongue they are Artreae, Thoyros, Khebos, and Seila2. Each governing over their own act that brings forth life. The place of those Gods, formed in the body of the Mother God was Aeon, and it had no end, no void to part the realms as is done in ours.
Being of Godly birth, they created all manner of life within that plane, which is Aeon, a great many creatures whose names and figures are unknown to us. But beyond name they are Myrad, those of magical inheritance.
With their form those of the Tetrad sought to create a universe not like their own.
- We know very little about the creation of the Tetrad and even less about what came before them; however, the literal translations of the names Selousel and Tarrephus stretch across different civilizations and different planets.The Veltenri, for example, describe a similar place whose name literally translates to “the place beyond the mountain’s reach where the god-birther rests.” And a similar name for Selousel which literally translates to “the place ruled by the god-birther’s love.” ↩︎
