I figured it might be good to update people once and a while as to what I have been working on. I don’t know, as of posting this, how often I will update, but after some big life events, I’m thinking about once per month. We’ll see… Anyways, let’s get to the update.
In terms of writing, I’ve been working on a couple stories, and one is in the editing bay getting ready for publishing. To give you a little teaser, it’s about the origins of Shijin, the first vampire on Orthtir. I’ve also been cooking up some stories on some Rorthan folks, and one about the first Orthtirian Interstellar flight and its political aftermath.
On the world building front, I’ve been quite busy. I’ve been working on two constructed languages, Yat’thel and Savkalu.
Yat’thel is the language most commonly used by Narselian trained mages. Below is a sample of the traditional writing system used by the Tyrit’thel, the progenitors of the Narselians, and how that system can be transliterated into the ritual wheels writing system that was used for magic purposes.

Below is a sample of Savkalu the language of those in Sararad. I chose a continent at random and this was the one it landed on, and I’ve gotten most if it ready to go.

For both Yat’thel and Savkalu the most expansive part now is lexicons and niche grammar.
Also on the world building front, I’ve been working on what I call the Sanctiform (working title), which is a collected history of Orthtir with a focus on the interaction between the people of Orthtir and magic. It spans from the creation of Orthtir, to the end of time. I do want to know from you as the reader whether or not you would prefer chronological releases of Sanctiform content, or just release as I finish each chapter. If you go with the latter, I could write whatever period chapter I wanted to, edit it, and send it off at a more consistent pace, but you would have to piece together the chronology.
Either way, here is a snippet of the Sanctiform: Book 1: What Is: Those of the First Kingdoms
“Those of the new life spread throughout the deserts and forests, throughout the mountains and plains, planting their own seed without the divine guidance of the Tetrad, holding them merely as beings of worship. The people of these lands, too, communed with the Visages, seeking the very powers that destroyed the Ila. Empires of that seed rose and fell; great works of magic were created; the world was shaped by catastrophe and triumph, history written always under the same sun.
“Of those empires, there were five of those first that propagated Orthtir with their magics. The Karamarchian were the first, establishing their ancient traditions on the continent of Zalshar. Second, rose the Kingdom of Rafan, guiding the course of Asinia. Third, the Ugolan merchant kingdom, rising steadfast from the deserts of Faerloren in Ishfadel. The Nubem, fourth of the ancient kingdoms, led by the Heresiarch of Thafa, spread its seed in the wilds of Rortha. The fifth stood beyond its ancient seeds, the revered Tyrit’thel, first of the great kingdoms of Narselus, planting its roots in Fargael”
So far I’ve got part of the Nubem and Karamarchian parts done. As well as some of the pre-history parts, like the creation of Aeon and the Living Universe.
